Dear Jesus,

Divine Physician and Healer of the sick,

we turn to you in this time of illness.

O dearest comforter of the troubled,

alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love,

and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.

Dear God,

we place our worries in your hands.

We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.

Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will

and know that whatever you do,

you do for the love of us.

Amen.

Hoy abno…..

Get well soon….

Prayer from me.

Ok… Rise and shine… Summer’s out (since last month)… once again I’m stuck here at my house (believe me, if I had the money, I wouldn’t be here; “ang init, putcha!”) doing my daily routine; cook rice, eat, surf the net, download, play computer games, take a bath, dress up, watch anime, listen to my mp3s, eat… blah3x…

Ok… blog time! (Yeah it’s worth doing this than sitting here doing nothing) Let’s see… what to write… what to write… what to type… URGHH!!!***

*** - while thinking about what to write, I’m just killing my time playing some emulator games (mostly old school games) which I downloaded a long time ago…

~*POOF!*~

That’s it! Why not write about the Family Computer?!?

Hehehe

A few more rewind…  I think I was 7 years old when my mom bought my first console, the Family Computer

Fc

========================================================================================================================================================================================

I just remembered, when I was a little kid (particularly when I was a gradeschooler) I used to be a big junkie in video games. I mean, even when I was that little, I was addicted to computer games. (Well I think it was quite normal; considering my age during that time) Yes, I wasn’t to type of guy who was into fashion, music and other stuff that time. (But hey, “di naman ako ganung kagrabe… meron din naman akong crush at niligawan nung grade I ako noh”) I can still remember the times I spent most of my “Baon” on games. It may sound a little bit cheesy ~ “ dati nanlibre pa ko sa mga tropa ko noong bata ako kina Kuya Al (computer arcade place) nung birthday ko” and imagine, for 5 STRAIGHT hours!!! Hehehe

How could I forget the days when my best friend (Dino) and I were often scolded by our families… “lagi pa nila ako sinusundo sa bahay nila dino (during unexpected moments) kc lagi kong tinatakas ung adaptor ng FC namin!”… Then everytime I get a failing mark on school, they always blaming me for spending more time playing the FC than studying.

Yep, FC days is very memorable to me… during that time I made some friends, and enemies as well.

FYI, the Famicom was, if you haven’t figured out yet, the Japanese version of the NES, originally introduced in July of 1983. Nearly 1200 games were released for the Famicom. This was a record, but the Super Nintendo broke it with over 1400 games, and the Playstation has even beaten that record. That is a lot of games, by the way. It’s a little depressing when you think about it; I’ll never be able to play all of these!

During its first year, many criticized the system as unreliable, prone to programming errors and rampant freezing. Following a product recall and a reissue with a new motherboard, the Famicom’s popularity soared, becoming the best-selling game console in

Japan

by the end of 1984. Encouraged by their successes, Nintendo soon turned their attentions to the North American markets. For the rest of the decade, Nintendo was the undisputed master of the American and Japanese gaming markets, and its game titles were breaking sales records.

The question is: how hard is this stuff to find nowadays? Not especially hard - as always, a lot depends on what game you want, how much time you want to spend searching, and whether you get lucky or not. In some malls and video game shops, you may able to find some stocks of family computer, and most stock at least a few FC carts.

Of course, it’s easy to tell people to go and buy FC carts. But today’s technology has been improving more and more, and so as the graphics of all the games that are released recently, making it impossible for the FC to compete in the gaming world today

In the end, the choice is still yours to make

My Anime Otaku: Sumimasen… Nihongo o hanashimasu ka? (Excuse me… Do you speak Japanese?)

May 6th, 2006 by themarksyndromeproject

Ko- ko- konichiwa!!

Welcome to the first issue of “My anime Otaku”, the section that features News, Updates, and Reviews some of my (and your) favorite anime. Please take time to read these, especially if you’re a beginner to videos, anime and trading.

First of all, some definition of terms:

Anime (AH-nee-may or AN-nee-may)

n. -Short for "animation". Refers to "Japanese Animation", a genre/medium that has its roots in the 1960’s when the Japanese began making television versions of their version of comics (manga). Unlike the "cartoon", America and other culture’s counterpart to anime, much of the Japanese animation shown is one of deeper, sometimes more mature themes, including developed storylines, linear plots, and aspects of violence, sex, drama, and comedy (not unlike live-action films in the States). There are different kinds of anime and each kind embraces a different age group or group of people. In

Japan

, the medium is as much respected as the "live-action" genre of movies.

ex. - "Did you watch that new Evangelion? It’s the epitome of what anime is.

Otaku (oh-TAH-kuu)

n. - From the Japanese, literally meaning "house". In

Japan

, the term refers to someone with a heavy, and sometimes near-religious interest in something. In the Japanese culture it also carries a derogatory meaning, in the context of being someone with no real social or personal life outside of the object of their obsession (much like the term "fanboy" or "nerd" in Western culture). However, outside of

Japan

, the term may or may not carry a derogatory meaning depending on the person being referred to. Many anime fans in Western cultures proudly (and sometimes mistakenly) call themselves otaku, preferring to use the term to describe themselves as a "hard core", or knowledgeable, anime fan.

ex. - That Mama Ass is definitely an otaku.

Fansub (FAN-suhb)

n. - Anime in the original Japanese, subtitled into the native language of the translators for distribution in the anime community outside of

Japan

. Much more common than it’s lesser known cousin, the fandub, these fan-translated works are usually done at a medium amount of equipment, expense, and effort. Usually such fans work in groups to increase efficiency and reduce individual cost. As a result, many anime series or episodes of a series which have not been picked up for release by a domestic company outside of

Japan

can be seen before they are "officially" released or licensed (if they are ever released) in non-Japanese countries. Cost is usually minimal to purchase anime done in this manner, and it is not usual for the fan translators to ask that fans not resell their tapes so that they can continue with their work.

ex. - I just ordered The Prince of Tennis fansub today.

== End of Definition ==

(In my upcoming articles in this section, I will give you more definitions, ok? Don’t rush)

In my 1st issue I’m gonna tackle about “my anime collection”.

Anime_collection

========================================================================================================================================================================================

I started collecting animes since March of last year (2005). At first I wanted to collect and watch anime because I was feeling so depressed. My First anime copy was Naruto (128 episode during that time), which was originally owned by my friend (Px).

Now, I currently have 25 anime in my collection (OAV’s and movies are not yet included in the count). I am planning to make other copies of my collection for sale and trade.

Pricing (subject due to change in the future):

Cds: 30 PhPesos each

Dvds: 70 PhPesos each

Trading Rules:

The number of episodes must be equal in the trade, just to be fair

I like it when traders fill up the cd to its capacity but not to the point of overburning.

Please use silver platinum coated cds and let me know if you want me to use branded cds too.

If this is the 1st time you’re going to trade with me, I must receive the package first, unless I requested for the trade.

If you do not have references, you have to send first or trade with other notable noted traders with good trader comments.

Here is the complete list of my anime collection so far:

…Share Your Ideas: Ep 1

April 25th, 2006 by themarksyndromeproject

…Just a thing to share to you guys (especially u sony ericsson fone users).

I found a site where you can download free sony ericsson T610 themes, games, etc…

Well…After almost 4 yrs. having default settings and themes… I deserve a change!

Dateline: April 23, 2006

—I was helping out my best friends’ brother downloading some applications for his phone (Nokia3650) that day. I had nothing to do that day so I joined him browse the net.

I decided to look for an application for my phone (sony ericsson T610) and upload it on my fone (good thing Daniel brought his memory card reader). At first I was a bit frustrated bcoz it was very hard to find a very descent site where u can download free games and themes (most sites I encountered were paypal based sites; meaning I have to pay! Other sites where just junk; their games and apps won’t work at all)

After 2 hours of searching….

Site

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

                                                                      Alas!

                                           >>  http://www.myt610.lasyk.net/  <<

This site feature free downloads: themes, wallpapers, screensavers, games, apps, ringtones for Sony ericsson T610 and other sony ericsson units.

Here are some screenshots of their T610 themes (that I downloaded):

Ok

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Well… after downloading some of my desired themes, games and screensavers, here comes the uploading part (upload the files to my cell)

—First, I put the files in a specific folder (to be well organize)

—Then, I transfer it to your memory card reader (if i had a blue tooth device, it’s much easier to transfer it to my phone)

—ok, I put the memory card back to Daniel’s phone (nokia), and then I transfer it using Bluetooth to my T610

Easy isn’t?

Go ahead, try it!

Happy downloading….

Til then,

Lyrics: Sugar We’re Goin Down

April 24th, 2006 by themarksyndromeproject

Am I more than you bargained for yet
I’ve been dying to tell you anything you want to hear
Cause that’s just who I am this week
Lie in the grass, next to the mausoleum
I’m just a notch in your bedpost
But you’re just a line in a song
(A notch in your bedpost, but you’re just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We’re always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

Is this more than you bargained for yet
Oh don’t mind me I’m watching you two from the closet
Wishing to be the friction in your jeans
Isn’t it messed up how I’m just dying to be him
I’m just a notch in your bedpost
But you’re just a line in a song

(Notch in your bedpost, but you’re just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We’re always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it
[x2]

Down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down (down, down)
Down, down (down, down)
We’re going down, down (down, down)
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

We’re going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we’re going down swinging
I’ll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it

Lyrics: Bittersweet Symphony

February 16th, 2006 by themarksyndromeproject

‘Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
You’re a slave to money then you die
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

No change, I can’t change
I can’t change, I can’t change
But I’m here in my mind
I am here in my mind
But I’m a million different people
from one day to the next
I can’t change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no,no,no,no,no,no(fading away)

Well I never pray
But tonight I’m on my knees yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airways are clean and there’s nobody singing to me now

No change, I can’t change
I can’t change, I can’t change
But I’m here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I’m a million different people
from one day to the next
I can’t change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can’t change
I can’t change it

‘Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find some money then you die
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

You know I can’t change, I can’t change
I can’t change, I can’t change
But I’m here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I’m a million different people
from one day to the next
I can’t change my mind
No, no, no, no, no

I can’t change my mind
no, no, no, no, no,
I can’t change
Can’t change my body,
no, no, no

I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
Been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
That you’ve ever been down
That you’ve ever been down
